美国主流社会对东、南欧女性移民的负面认知 与社会改革（188〇—192〇) 杨 静 (长春师范大学马克思主义学院，吉 林 长 春 130032) 摘 要 ：19世 纪 末 20 世 纪 初 ，美国迎来了史无前例的东、南欧女性移民潮。然而，东、南欧女性移民在 外形、语言、宗教、生活方式等各个方面都表现出了相异于西、北欧 老 移 民 的 特 征 ，因而遭到美国主流社会 的敌视与排斥。女性移民进入就业领域更是严重违背了美国主流社会的女性观念。为了解决女性移民所 面临的困境并助其融入美国社会，美国中产阶级发起了以女性移民回归家庭为核心的改革，旨在让女性移 民接受美国主流社会家庭理念和生活方式。然 而 ，改革者并未深入了解女性移民的社会文化和现实需求， 使得相关改革具有明显的局限性，并没有发挥其所期望的效果。 关键词 ：美国主流社会；东、南欧女性移民 ; 女性观念;社会改革 中图分类号：K712.4 文献标识码：A 文章编号 :1005-605X (2016)05-0100-09 The Negative Cognition and Social Reform of the American Mainstream on the Easter and Southern European Immigrant Women (1880—1920) Y A N G Jin (S chool o f M a rxism , Changchun Norm al U n iv e rs ity , Changchun 130032,C hina ) Abstract ： The U nited States experenced an unprecedented tide of eastern and southern European im m igrant women in the late 19th century early 20th century . H ow ever , these im m igrant women had different appearance , language , re li gio n , lifestyle and so on from thoese from western and the northern E uro pe , and thus suffered the h o stility and rejection from A m erican m ain ­ stream . They enterin the jo b fields was seriously challenged the fem inist idea of A m erica . In order to solve the problem s that the m igrant women faced and helped them adapt A m erican society , the A m erican m iddle class carried out the social reforms w hich hoped the im m igrant women returnin to the fa m ily and acceptin the A m erican mainstream fa m ily views and way of life . H ow ever , reform ers did not have a thorough understandin o f im m igrant women in social culture and real dem ands , these re ­ forms had obvious lim itatio ns and its effect was not satisfactory .
