Perparation for Dewaxing Shellac and Refining Shellac- wax

Abstract: The research is made on dewaxing shellac by centrifugal subside and refining shellac- wax by Carbon
tetrachloride extraction. Theresult shows that shellac contains low wax after dewaxing according to ISO standard,
the heat resistance and adhesiveforce of shellac are enhanced; the corrosion resistance is increased; and the col-
or is improved. In addition, the Carbon tetrachloride extraction is used to retrieve and refine shellac- wax. So
an economical and speedyway to dewax shellac and refine shellac- wax is found.
