Research Development Center of WISCO, Wuhan 430080, China; 2.Manufacturing Center of Zhu Zhou Time Group Inc, Zhu Zhou 435001, China) Abstract: In theprocess of cold bending theorangepeel shape defect often occurs in the copper bar used for electrictransducer generators of the electromotive. Causeto the defects of the cop per bar has been analyzed by means of metallograpic microscope and other devices. Results show that the grain sizes of the structure on the section of the copper strip ( raw material for copper bar) arelevel 4.0 to 4.5 and in the central structurethe huge rough and irregular level 2 crystal grains predominate with raceof annealed twins. That is the primary cause to occur rence of the orange peel shape defect in the copper bar.
