Abstract :The automatic monitoring and control system ，that is composed of IPC ，PLC ，control equipment ，and measuring instruments ，for
sewage processing plant is introduced． The IPC is configured with KingVIEW configuration software ，the PLC is used as field control units to
coordinate with various detection equipment to collect process parameters in sewage treatment ，to monitor sewage treatment process and
operation states of equipment in real time ，and to control field equipment accordingly． In addition ，data exchange is conducted through
fieldbus to accomplish automatic monitoring and management for sewage processing． The results of operation show that the communication
between host computer and PLC is stable ，reliable ，and ease to operate ，thus the level of monitoring and management can be effectively
improve
