This paper makes a primary analysis of the basic concepts of the teleoperation and its fundamental characteristics firstly. Then, it summarizes the eight explora- tion rovers that has been launched onto the lunar and Martian surface successfully and made ex- ploration. Finally, the conclusion and expectation of the teleoperation of the exploration rover are achieved. What is more, it is proposed that thebasicoperation mode of our first lunar exploration rover should adopt mainly teleoperation with sem-i autonomous operation.
