e-Government to boost Core Industry Gryphon SOU School of Graduate Studies Asia International Open University Macau Special Administrative Region, People’s Republic of China GryphonSou@AIOU.edu Abstract In globalization, more and more cargo will be put on air/land/sea intermodal transfers and the challenges will come from the increasing demand for a more efficient and higher value-added logistics service. Either the Government or the logistics industry strives to achieve the ultimate goal of developing HKSAR into a regional and so forth an international cargo hub. They work hand-in-hand to boost the core industry of HKSAR. Ultimately, they improve their performance and add value to their services in order to meet those challenges in logistics industry. Along with the other initiatives, a suitable site in Chek Lap Kok (Exhibit 1) would be selected for the development of a modern Logistics Park to provide efficient and high value-added logistics services.
