A bstrac t: 1-( 2, 3-d ichlorophenyl) p iperazine is synthesized from 2, 3-d ichloron itrobenzene and piperazine by alkyla-
tion, acidulation, reduction of n itro group, diazotization, substitution and hydrolys is reactionw ith the total yield of 4812% .

The structure of 1-( 2, 3-dich lorophenyl) piperazine is confirm ed by IR and HNMR.
