This technique sprays oxygen- enriched air into the slag layer by thewater- cooled injection gun directly in order to enhance themolten bath of stir and to strengthen heatand mass transfer. Through prelmi inary tests about the raw materials provided by Kunm ing Iron and SteelCompany, hotm etal identicalw ith that of the traditionalblast furnace is obtained. This process can also use high- phos- phorus iron ore as raw materials and reduce the phosphorus out of thehotmeta.l Dephosphorization is one of the characteristics of this process.
