The Flexibility, Scale And Mechanism Of Urban Development Boundary/Xu Jingquan [Abstract]China is promoting spatial planning reform and urban development boundary has become a focus issue in planning research and practice. It is essentially a component of national spatial planning reform, which prevents unlimited urban sprawl and imbalance between development and preservation. The paper reviews the practice of multi-plans integration and urban development boundary experiment sites, learns relevant experiences, studies the ﬂ exibility and rigidity, rational scale speciﬁ cation, evaluation and adjustment mechanism of urban development boundary, and proposes future trend and path of development boundary speciﬁ cation and management.
