DOI :10.13929/j.1003 -3289.2009.08.052 2009 25 8 　Chin J M ed Imaging Technol, 2009, Vol 25, No 8 ·1443 · 　 Imaging features and pathological analysis of retroperitoneal ganglioneuroma ＊ GUOX ue-j un , LI U Peng -cheng , WAN G Cheng -lin, ZH AO Yan, L UOL i-li, S H I Qiao, X I AN GX ian-j un (I maging Center, Pek ing Uni ersity S henz hen Hosp ital, S henz hen 5 18036, China) [Abstract]　Objective　T o analyze the imaging features of ret roperitoneal ganglioneuroma.Methods　Imaging findings of 11 patients with retroperitoneal ganglioneuroma proved pathologically were review ed retrospectively and com pared w ith patho- logical results.US e aminations were performed in 8 patients, M R plain scan and enhancement scan w ere performed in 5 pa- tients, CT plain scan in 10 patients and enhancement scan in 8 patients.Results　Among 11 patients w ith retroperitoneal ganglioneuroma, the lesions of 7 patients located in the right retroperitoneum and 4 in the left.All of the lesions had w ell-de- fined borders.The shapes of the lesions were round or oval in 6 patients and irregular in 5 patients.Unenhanced CT showed relatively homogeneous similar to cy stic lesions in 8 patients, heterogeneous w ith scat tered mot tled or st rip calcifications in 3 patients.No obvious enhancement in arterial phase, increasing enhancement in portal phase and delay ed phase w ere observed with contrast-enhanced CT scan.At M R imaging, the lesions show ed homogeneous isointensity or low intensity on T 1W I and heterogeneous high intensity on T 2W I.No obvious enhancement in arterial phase, slight to moderate enhancement in de- layed phase appeared after enhancement.Conclusion　Ganglioneuroma has some specific imaging features, a
