China A bstract O bj ective To explore theMRI d iagnostic value in dysgenes is of the corpus callosum incorporate encephalic m alform ation. M ater ia ls and M ethod s TheMR findings of 18 casesw ith dysgenesis of the corpus callosum incorporate encephalic malform ation w ere retrospectively analyzed. R esu lts The com plete lack of the corpus callosum w as found in 10 cases, partial lack of the corpus callosum in 6 cases and thinning of the corpus callosum in 2 cases. TheMRI findings of dysgenesis of the corpus callosum included enlargm ent of interhem ispheric fissurew ith approach ing to the anterior part of the th ird ventricle( 100% ); flat straightness and separated frontal horns; separated interventricular foram ina; nearly para-l lel body part of lateral ventricles or decreased angle bewt een the choroidsp lexus of the ventricle; dilatation and elevation of the th ird ven tricle; en larged occipital horns.
