O bj ective To investigate the characteristics and the mechanism of morphology deficits in the patients ith Chinese agrammatism after acute cerebrovascular diseases. M ethod s Thirty patients ith Chinese agrammatism and 30 normal subjects ere examined by the standardizedAphasia Battery in Chinese (ABC) and the Chinese Agrammatism Battery ( CAB) . R esu lts There as significant difference bet een them in the functional morpheme and assigned tasks(P 0. 01). In the functionalmorpheme tasks, there as significant difference in the empty ord, pluralandmeasure ord(P 0. 01), and there as no significant difference in the noun, verb, pronoun and adjective(P 0. 05). In the assigned tasks, hen compared ith the control group, the score gotby the patients as significantly lo er(P 0. 01) ith the closedclass ords and smi ilar ith the openclass ords(P 0. 05).
