Different from other types of news programs, the peoples livelihood news has the unique character, independent narrative style, public discourse space and so on. Therefore, in the livelihood of the people in the subject matter, usually with local language use, details of the processing, strong emotion, plot twists and turns and other characteristics. In the peoples livelihood news program, the characteristics and the development of the host is very important, can greatly improve the livelihood of the role and effectiveness of the news. This paper takes Henan TV citizen guide as a case, presided over the news of peoples livelihood characteristics and its development are studied, and then pointed out that the characteristics of peoples livelihood news program in China hosted the program, on the basis of the analysis and the existing areas to improve.
