T he real time light ning det ection syst em and t he act ive protect ion equip ment are adopt ed. By using this new met hod, t he prot ect ion t echnology of direct lightning st rike can be changed from lit tle current triggering t o w eakening the elect ric f ield near the weapon syst em, and t he dow n leader of charged t hundercloud can be repulsed by t he art ificial opposed field. So the light ning discharge condition in t his prot ection region is dest ruct ed , and the lig ht ning hazard t o the prot ected equipm ent is eliminat ed radically. T hrough t heoret ically analyzing space electrical pot ent ial curve and calculat ing space electric f ield dist ribution on comput er under dif ferent ex citation condit ion, t he feasibilit y of initiat ive prot ect ion t echnolog y for light ning st rike has been f urther verified.
