School of Sciences, Gu ngzhou University, Gu ngzhou 510405, Chin ) Abstract: In the ev lu tion of urb n environment l qu lity, there re two types of ppr is l systems which must be distinguished: subst nti l environment qu lity nd st te environment l qu lity, or pollution environment qu lity nd ecologic l environment qu lity. These two kinds of qu lities re of different properties nd their v ri tions h ve different c uses. The problem of pollution environment qu lity is m inly c used by pollutions from industry, tr ffic nd hum n lives, where s the problem of ecologic l environment qu lity is m inly bred by the v ri tion of l ndsc pe p tterns or the djustment of l nd use structure. Among the urb n n ture l nd sc pes, green l nd ndw ter re the most import nt ecologic l regul tive l nds which h ve dis tinct effect on the urb n ecologic l environment.
