To investigate the awareness rate on the prevention and control knowledge of the PTB (pulmonary tuberculosis) of the patients living in rural area of Liyang City, to understand the implementation of our DOTS （directly observed treatment +short course chemotherapy ） strategy, and to provide the scientific evidence for carrying out health education of PTB prevention and control work. 2.To compare the management effects for the smear positive PTB patients between the traditional supervisory mode with medical personnel and the supervision mode with family members, to further explore an optimized treatment management mode of PTB treatment. 3 ．To provide a theoretical basis for my city in the future PTB prevention and control and research work Methods Between Jan 2011 and Dec 2012, we carried out an investigation on the newly diagnosed PTB patients with the knowledge of transitions, hospital visiting, treatment, prevention and how to assess to the prevention information.
