Period One
Teaching contents: Look and say
Teaching Aims:
知识目标:1) Using formulaic expressions to request something
2) Using formulaic expressions to reply requests
能力目标:1) Open/maintain an interaction by eliciting a response
2) Use modeled sentences to communicate with other learners
情感目标: 要求学生在生活实际中帮助家长做些力所能及的家务如购物
Difficult and key points:
1) Sentence: ________, please. Here you are. Thank you.
2) How to do some shopping
Teaching aids: tape, some pictures, some fruits and some classroom objects
Teaching procedure:
教学步骤 方法与手段 补充与修改 Warming-up Sing a song
Daily talk Revision Review the numbers
Review the words about food and
fruits. What’s this? It’s _______.
What do you like to eat? I like to eat______. Do you like _____? Yes./NO. Presentation Show the pictures and say
something about the pictures: three oranges, four apples, five cakes and etc.
Learn the new words: banana,
pear, biscuit, flower(using pictures and realia)
Say the word together
Plural phrases: 6bananas,
3biscuits, 5pears, 10 flowers
(show a picture of a supermarket)
Tell a story like this:
It is Sunday. Kitty and her mother are going to the supermarket. Today Gramdma is coming to see them. They are going to do some shopping. Look at the shopping list.
(show the shopping list)
T: What do they want?
To elicit the answers: They want four apples.(…) (While telling the story ,stick the characters and a shopping list on the picture) Now Mrs Li is taking a basket in her hand. And Kitty is helping her.
5. Play the cassette and try to understand the meaning.
6. Listen and repeat
7. Act out the dialogue.
8. Students assemble a classroom
supermarket and try to do some
shopping in it. (Group work)
Make their own dialogues and act it out. Consolidation Try to go shopping with your mother
in the supermarket and practise in English
