Locate specific information in a short text in response to questions. 情感、态度与价值观: 教学重点和难点 Using the simple past tense to talk about past states e.g. Mary was in the sitting-room. Using the simple past tense to talk about past activities e.g. John came in. Using adjectives to describe people. e.g. John and Mary were afraid. Asking ‘wh-’ question to find out various kinds of specific information about a person, object or an event e.g. What was in the spaceship? 教学媒体 The pictures of UFO, etc. 课前学生准备 English book, listening to the tape. 教学流程 Pre-task preparation 1. Daily talk. 2. Show some pictures of UFO. Say: Do you want to know something about UFO? Introduce something about UFO. While-task procedure Say: Today we will learn a story about UFO. Play the cassette: Read a story. The students listen and follow in their book. Introduce the sounds: hsss, hmmm. Tell the students to be very quiet so that they can listen to hear any sounds around. Ask: What can you hear Divide the students into five groups. Each group reads a paragraph of the passage aloud. Work in pairs, do Read and answer. Post-task activity Workbook page 22 Read the verbs in the tinted box. The students quietly study the task. Complete the sentences.
