The salt solution and the aluminium foil in the package material conduct the current through the circuit. It is recommendable to perform this test at first start up both after the filler and also after the last in line installed DE-equipment. It is also recommendable to perform Conductivity test at events as package material changes like new design and new PO-order takes in use. The Conductivity test can not be a substitute to the Tear down test, because they have to complete different goals.
