The process for a typical ANSYS analysis involves three general tasks: Building the Model Applying Loads and Obtaining the Solution Reviewing the Results 0.1.1 Start LMTOOLS Utility The LMTOOLS utility is a Windows-only license administration tool. With the LMTOOLS utility, you can start, stop, and reconfigure the license manager, get information such as hostids, get server status, and more. To activate the launcher on Windows, choose Start LMTOOLS Utility Select the Start/atop/Reread Button, and start the server. When the Server Start Successful appeared, you can start the ANSYS Launcher. 0.1.2 The ANSYS Launcher To activate the launcher on Windows, choose Start Programs ANSYS 11.0 ANSYS Product Launcher If you selected a ANSYS product, you can specify: Working directory (you created on a hard disk) and Jobname(you want to name). Then the ANSYS GUI appeared, and you can do our experiments with GUI method and Command or Batch Method. The standard ANSYS GUI is the default. This layout shows the Utility Menu, Standard Toolbar, Input Window, ANSYS Toolbar, Main Menu, Graphics Window, Status Area, and Output Window.
