Brief Introduction of Air Transport System Composed of LD Cone Pumps LD dense phase air transport system is recognized as an economic reliable air transport system by many years practical testing and scientific experiment due to its advanced international technology. During conveying, the ash air ratio is high, air consumption is little, and material delivery speed is low which effectively lower the pipe wear and tear. The system is a high-efficient low-consumptive air transport system due to its simple structure and convenient operation and maintenance. The system has five main parts: LD cone pumps, compressed air source, control system, conveying pipes and ash silo. The system arrangement is as the following draft 1. LD Cone Pump LD dense phase cone pump is a fatigue resistant and wear resistant low pressure container which could bear long time coal ash brush and tear as its thick wall. It is the delivering part of the whole transport system which accepts the ash from ash remover collector, pressurized fluidizes the ash, and conveys the ash through pipes to the ash silo. LD cone pump adopts intermittent transports which feed and discharge ash once as one cycle. Compressed Air Source The compressed air source supplies high quality compressed air for cone pump and pneumatic control, which is consists of air compressor, oil remover, dryer, air tank and air supply pipes. The oil remover and the dryer are used for lowering the oil, water and debris content in compressed air for qualifying compressed air. Controlling System Using PLC programmable controller (or industrial control computer) as the core part, the controlling system controls the cone pump operation parameters and mechanical components behavior through pneumatic components, and shows real time operation status by simulation screen or CRT screen, which also has manually operation f
