The Advantages, Disadvantages and Solutions of Multimedia-assisted English Teaching 【Abstract】 In the information age, use of multimedia classroom helps the class get rid of the empty and tedious teaching methods. The application of multimedia facilities in school is becoming more and more popular. In order to make the facilities assist the English classroom efficiently, the paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of multimedia-assisted English teaching and how to use multimedia efficiently. 【Key ords】ultimedia; English teaching; problems; solutions Introduction Multimedia is a kind of teaching assistance involving picture, image, animation and music in a complicated way. It contains a variety of forms, which can be alternately used, and can also be used simultaneously. It visualizes the abstract teaching progress and improves the teaching effect. Along with the development of education technology and the further promotion of the in-depth implementation of quality education, multimedia-assisted teaching has attracted more and more attention of schools. The Ministry of Education pointed out in the conference of information technology education in primary and secondary schools: We should promote information technology to integrate with other disciplines and encourage the other disciplines to use information technology. Under the guidance of this idea, the computer-aided teaching has been widely used in English class of primary schools, which has undoubtedly injected new vitality into English classroom teaching reform of primary schools.
