The results i dicated that sow i g tmi e had sig ifica t effects o the soybea yield a d quality. A d the optmi al sow i g period was from m id- Ju e to early July. The yield, pla t height, um ber of pods or seeds o mai stem, umber of pods or seeds o bra ch had a s ig ifica t te de cy of gradually decreasi gw ith the delay of sow i g tmi e, a d dif- fere t soybea ge otypes varied i the exte t of this decreasi g te de cy. I late July sow i g, there w as a eed to i crease the sow i g de sity a d apply som e irrigatio to protect the late-m aturi g or late- sow varieties from drought stress.
