Alison: My name is Alison and Ive been teaching here at ‘The Pony Centre’ for twenty-one years. ‘The Pony Centre’ is a charity for and young adults and they come here on a weekly basis for different riding activities. I come to ‘The Pony Centre’ every Saturday morning and I teach riding for the disabled lessons. We have a variety of children and young adults that come here. Some are disabled, um…, and some are not disabled, but for all the children that come here, they mix with able-bodied or disabled um… people, which is a great advantage to them. Um, the riding actually is for for them and its also fun. Ive always loved horses and I started riding at seven years old, but because we didnt have very much money, I could only ride a very small amount each year. As Ive got older, Ive got more interested and Ive been able to ride a lot more, and Ive also done lots of exams in teaching. So thats how I can teach riding for the disabled.
