B y com paring w ith the th eory of M u ltim ed ia L earn ing, w e can easily know th at the v iew of u sing L M D to help p eop le how to design m u ltim ed ia is not on ly feasib le, but also re a so n ab le . From th e persp ectiv e of L ingu istics and S em iotics, L M D w ith three essential characteristics (sym bo lic, system atic and gen erated) regarded as a new typ e of inform ation age lan guage is reasonab le. A ccord ing to th e view of A m erican ph ilosopher M orris w h o classified sem iotics as three parts, w h ich are syn tactics, sem antics and pragm atics.
