The m u tilayer indicators of eco system health a sse ssm en t and their quan titative models were given , in wh ich the gu idelinelayer con sists of the en su ring degree of eco system and environm en t, supporting degree of nat u ral re sou rce s, develop ing level of econom y and society, su stainab le degree of eco system health. Then thenew m ethod s of determ in ing ind icator weigh t were studied, wh ich wa s determ ined by analytic h ierarchy p roce ss (AH P) and modified by en trop y techno logy. Fu rther, the fuzzy syn thetic judgm en t models of eco system health a sse ssm en t were de scribed, and te sted in a typ ical m ine area.
