Position Control of a Linear Switched Reluctance Motor Based on the Self-tuning Regulator

ABSTRACT: This paper presents a self-tuning regulator(STR) 0
with considering external load disturbance and saturation
characteristics for position control of a linear switched
reluctance motor(LSRM). STR is applied to overcome the
position precision loss owing to the factors of nonlinear
characteristics of LSRM, manufacturing imperfection,
saturation characteristics of drivers and external load
disturbances. In this paper, the LSRM system is described by
the single-input, single-output discrete model and the
parameters of the model are estimated by the Recursive Least
Square algorithm. Then a STR based on the pole
