Carrying capacity of water resources is an important com ponent in t he carrying capacity of all the natural resources in achieving the national and regional sustainable development, especially in arid area. The influence fac- tors of water resources carrying capacity w ere analyzed, and fuzzy synthetic evaluation model of w ater resources carrying capac- ity w as built up on the basis of the Jaynes maximum entropy information theory on the base of fuzzy mat hematics. At last the model w as adapt ed to analyse and to predict w ater resources carrying capacity in Karamay City in the 15 future years.
