In fact, such classification depends upon detailing electroclinical correlation. After the 20-year progress in epileptology, many clinicians found it difficult to make a “definite” seizure diagnosis clinically without a series of strict electrophysiological examinations, especially when facing an infant(3，4). And further findings made the previous classification inefficient（5）. H. Lüders and colleagues proposed a classification based exclusively on ictal semiology, which has been published at the official journal of ILAE－EPILEPSIA in 1998, and called Semiological Seizure Classification（SSC）（6）。The EEG, neuroimaging and other laboratory results should be analyzed separately and then integrated to define the epileptic syndromes but not seizure classifications. The seizure diagnosis is made through a “what-you-see-is-what-you-made” way. It also provoked an extensive discussion about the necessity of the new classification afterwards（7）.
