Revision 1: Introduction spare-part robot gas spring only (9498-396-03848) 1 SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION: In case of a failure of the opening mechanism of the AX Placement robot, it is possible to repair the robot on- site with 1 of the 2 replacement kits. One kit replaces the whole opening mechanism (gas spring and shock absorber), the other one can be used to only replace the gas spring. When a robot has the intention to automatically fall down when not completely open, the gas spring probably has lost some force and should therefore be replaced. The shock absorber makes sure that a robot opens and closes gentle. When these movements are not damped anymore, the shock absorber should be replaced, including the whole opening mechanism of the robot, including the gas spring. 2 PROBLEM SOLUTION: Replace the opening mechanism or gas spring according the described procedure. 3 PARTS REQUIRED:  Opening mechanism replacement kit (9498-396-02126): - 1 x hydraulic shock absorber (a) - 1 x robot gas spring (b) - 1 x circlip (c) - 1 x dowel 6 x 28 mm (d) - 1 x dowel 8 x 20 mm (e) - 1 x pin hydraulic shock absorber 5.85 x 22 mm (f) - 1 x bolt M16 x 80 mm (g
