Correspondent: YA NG De-guo, E-mail: yangdeguo2002 @ 163. com) Abstract : The combination of P2P w ith SIP has some problems such as the instability due to P2P nodes characteristics and lack of complete and practical design. A new media communication mechanism based on P2P-SIP w as therefore designed, w here the hierarchy is used to form an o erlay netw ork because of the heterogeneity of the nodes in ol ed in. Then, an algorithm was presented to form the hierarchy. Simulation results show ed that the stability of the hierarchical mechanism is higher than that of existing P2P system, thus reducing both the information quantity in media communication netw orks and time delay for the location and registration of information resources.
