Jig跳汰分选概要1
Hydraulic separation Jigs;1. Introduction
Jigging is a process of particle stratification in which the particle rearrangement results from an alternate expansion and compaction of a bed of particles by pulsating fluid flow. The vertical direction of fluid flow is reversed periodically. The rearrangement results in layers of particles which are arranged by increasing density from top to bottom of the bed.;This response, developed from the many and continuously varying forces acting upon the particles, permits a solid-solid separation more related to particle density and less to particle size than any other “hydraulic-type” process. The strtification is usually carried out in a rectangular,open-top container called a jig,in which the mass of particles is supported on a perforated base through which the water flows in alternating directions.;2. Unit Operation
All coal jigs currently being designed have fixed screens to support the patticle bed. Most are of the Baum type,i.e.,the water movement is motivated by air pressure. Alternatively, the water motivation can be achieved by a plunger. The essential elements of the jig are minimal.
;The jig box a U-shaped container divided into several sections. On one side, longitudinally near the top,is a perforated screen plate which supports the particle bed and on which the particle separation is effected. The region below the supporting screen, forming the bottom of the U,is referred to as the “hutch compartment” through which the water is directed to and from the supporting bed. A screw conveyor may be located at the bottom of the hutch to remove fine particles which have passed through the screen with the flowing water.;3. Batac Jig
The Batac jig was developed by groups in Germany in response to a need for jigs of greater capacity. Development included increasing the width and improving performance by achieving more equal jigging action over the width of the bed. By involving concepts of the Baum principle, units have been
