* Jimmy Liao 几米 His name is Fubi Liao. He was born in Taipei. He graduated from Chinese Culture University with a major in Design. Jimmy had worked in advertising companies for 12 years. After that he works as an illustrator(插图画家). Since 1998, Jimmy has published several illustrated books with amazing creativity and multi-faceted narratives. He had set a fashion in creating and publishing illustrated books in local and international markets. Using images as a refreshing form of literary language, Jimmy creates in his works poetic frames that emit charms and appeals. Jimmy’s caricature focus on the context and the inner heart of the characters. The impermanence of life(人生无常) is an important theme in his caricature. Reading his pictures and words , you will feel the slight sadness in his heart . His works not only tell the beauty and kindness of life, but also reflect the everyday life in our society.
