A bstrac t: The influence of tabs on the heat transfer and the m ix in is recomm ended. The developm ent and current sta-
tus of the num erical em ulations and expermi ent researches about the heat transfer and m ix in characteristics of tabbed jet
are review ed. It is analyzed that the producin and developin ru les of the stream w ise vortices w ith the jet excited by
tabs and the in fluence of tabs on the core area of downriver flow field and the characteristics of the velocity chan e at
nozzle ex it. Them echanism of enhancin the effect of the heat transfer and m ix in are m ade know n.
