Shaanxi University of Science - Technology. Xi an 71002 1, China) Abstract: This paper does the testing and research on the reproduction of dot about color dig- ital printing. The color digital printing test plate is designed first. And then to choice 9 kinds of paper samples which include coated paper and matte paper with different grammes per square metre printing on the press of HP indigo 3 500 , test the dot gain for dot test unit in each sample by X-Rite 530 Spectrophotometer , find out dot gain maximum and the spüt where the dot gain maximum showed on the sample. Eventually the color digital printing dot reproduction law is obtained. The experimental results can be used for digital color printing quality evaluation reference ,and provide a reference value on in-deepth study of field of digit- al pringting.
