British has one of the worlds largest music industries today, with many British musicians having had an impact on modern music. There are a hundred summer schools of music in British, which cater for all grades of musicians, from the beginner to the skilled performer. These schools provide courses lasting from a week-end to three or four weeks, and cover a wide range from medieval and classical music to rock-and-roll and pop. This nation is also the birth place of britpop, which is a kind of rock in the UK.
