Water Conservancy Department, Yellow iver Water Conservancy Vocational and Technical Institute, Kafi eng, He nan 475004, China) Abstract: Code for Design of Concrete Structures( GB50010 2010) has come into force since July 1st, 2011. This paper introduces the main differences of crack widths calculated from Design Code for Hydraulic Concrete Structures ( SL191 2008) and Code for Design of Concrete Structures( GB50010 2010) with the single side reinforced rectan gular beam and through the calculation and analysis of different conditions. The difference of the calculation results is larger when the load is bigger, the concrete cover is smaller and the cross section is larger. In general case, the calculat ed crack width would be increased 10% ~ 70% by using Design Code for Hydraulic Concrete Structures( SL191 2008) when compared with Code for Design of Concrete Structures( GB50010 2010) .
