ABSTRACT This thesis is based on a talk from CCTV‟s Lecture Forum show called Kaifeng ─A City on Water. In this theis, the problems occurred during consecutive interpreting are discussed and solutions are offered. In the first chapter of this report, the main task of this paper is described from three different perspectives. In the second chapter, the section of preparation before interpreting is the key point, which includes the search of the background materials and the preparation of related terms. The third chapter is the most important one, for many typical examples are chosen to reflect on the gains and losses of this practice. In terms of the difficult points
