Abstract: At t e room temperature, t e effect of Co ray irradiation on t e structure and properties
of silicone resins w as investigated in t e atmosp ere of air. T e unirradiated, irradiated silicone resin
and its clear paints were analyzed by FTIR, T G, SEM, EIS etc . T e FTIR and TG analysis indica

ted t at Co ray irradiation induced t e rupture of side groups and crosslinking effect on silicone

resins w it in t e irradiation dose of 1610 Gy, resulting in an increase in t eir eat resistance. T e
surface morp ology, mec anical properties, corrosion resistance and c emical resistance w ere not
damaged under irradiation, proving t at t e synt esized silicone resins ave good irradiation resist
ance.
