T he unknow n probability dist ribut ion unction w as expanded int o st andard normal distribut ion unct ion by the way o Edgew orth expansion in the condit ion that t he irst our moments o the paramet ers are know n. M eanw hile, t he probability dist ribution t ype o t he random variable mom ent X was loosely restrict ed, w hich w as more close t o t he eng ineering pract ice. T he e iciency and accuracy o t he proposed met hod were demonst rated by a pract ical example, w hich is a mult-i deg ree- o- reedom random continuou s dynam ic structural systems w ith arbitrarily distribut ed parameters and independent ailure mode.
