3D foot profile measurement through light- section method

Abstract: A new technique o ligh-t section method is proposed to measure 3D pro ile. A closed light strip in
a certain section o oot is ormed by laser sheet illumination. Its image can be obtained by 3 CCD cameras, then
the real world coordinate o the section o the oot can be w orked out through trans ormation betw een the
coordinate o the section plane and the camera coordinate. Finally, the coordinate o the 3D oot pro ile can be
obtained through measurement along the direction vertical to the light section plane.
