But because of the direct irradiation of the sun, the mirror temperature environment was very severe and heat distortion analysis should be conducted. To do that, this paper first discussed the general procedure of conducting heat distortion analysis. Two approaches for the temperature mapping problem, which was the key point of the procedure, were then compared. The heat-transfer mapping method was used for this problem and a heat distortion analysis was conducted. The results show that the PV and RMS values of the reflecting mirror are consistent with the experimental data and the heat-transfer mapping method is useful in the problem.
