The properties, flame retardant mechanism of the brominated flame retardants were described.Meanwhile, the exploitation and application of the brominated flame retardants products and the technologies in the flame retardants system were introduced. Aiming at the problems such as dioxin and toxic gas presented during the application of the brominated flame retardants, the new research directions were proposed and the developing tendency of the bromine flame retardants were prospected.
