ThesporegerminationbelongedtotheOsmunda-typ,ewhilethegametophytedevelopmentwasoftheAdiantum- type.Theprothallialplatesformedabout25 daysaftersowing.Thematurecordateprothallusdeveloped50 days aftersowing, gymnotremoidwithouttrichome.sThesexualorgansappeared60 daysaftersowing, hermaphroditic. Theantheridiumwasprolatespheroida,lconsistingofthreecells.Archegonialneckwasusuallycomposedoffour rowsofcellsandthreetofivecellshighatmaturity.
