The judicial system of the Song period which was based on the previous generation had a considerable development. In recent years ,though some ar ticles with opinions has been published and some topic discussion has been made in the research on the judicial system in the Song Dynasty ,but it does not form a system ,and it is difficult to see the whole picture. Through the legislative ideas of streng thening the centralization of the Song Dynasty in The Chapter of Criminal in the History of the S ong D y nast y the paper expounds in details the account of the Song of the judicial system ,reflects the justice characteristics of
