Its purpo se is to get the b est learning effects through the utilization of teach ing process, teaching contents, and com puter assisting. In recent years, the research and practice into C A L L pay m ore attention to regu lar in stitution s of h igher learn ing. B ut as far as junior schools are concern ed, very few related researches are conducted in C h ina, especially on the teach ing of reading. R ead ing is essential to acqu ire overall proficiency in E nglish for learn ers. H ow ever, qu ite a few Jun ior school students are basically w eak in reading E nglish and lack the m otivation to further study, because the current teaching m ethods of E nglish is very boring, w h ich m akes th ings w orse. A s a resu lt, it b ecom es very urgent to im prove and enrich the teaching m edia and the teaching m ethods of E nglish reading in Jun ior H igh school in order to further im prove th e teach ing effect and arouse students interest and in itiative in learn ing E nglish.
