Teaching aims: 1) Grasp the new words: skip; playtime; sad; no one; me; hide; seek; hurry up; catch; 2) Grasp the sentence structure: Lingling is skipping. Daming is hiding. Sam is seeking. 3) Put the language points into practice. 3. Teaching important and difficult points: Words: skip; playtime; sad; no one; me; hide; seek; hurry up; catch; Phrases: play hide-and-seek; play clapping games Sentences: Lingling is skipping. Daming is hiding. Sam is seeking. 4. Teaching tools: words cards; PPt; picture, tape 5. The students’ ability: We have learnt the present participle for a long time, the students knew the –ing forms of verbs very well. They liked to take part in class activities and perform themselves. 6. Teaching process: Step1 warm up: Sing the song “I’m listening to music.” and do the actions. Game: Listen and do. T: swimming Ss: I’m swimming. Step2 Revision: Review the “ing” form of some verbs. Step3 Presentation: It’s playtime. What’s lingling doing? Lingling is skipping. 2) Look at picture: T: ---What are Daming and Sam doing? --- They are playing hide-and-seek. Daming is hiding. Sam is seeking. (left hand--- hide; right hand--- seek, two hands--- hide and seek; T: Who’s hiding? Ss: Daming is hiding. T: Who’s seeking? Ss: Sam is seeking. Chant: hide, hiding, Daming is hiding; Seek, seeking, Sam is seeking. Daming and Sam are playing hide-and-seek.
