In order to understand the question of standards, we should first of all understand the basic views of philosophers at that time. Stoic view of truth is the most representative, the most complete expression system, skepticism is main object of criticism. According to Sextus records, stoicism in the three sense the difference between truth and true (Aletheia) or (alethes), it expounds their truth: 1 First, the nature (ousia) difference. The Stoics thought is really a proposition or judgment (aksioma), which means that the proposition or content (lekton), it is not the form, no substantive. The truth is tangible in nature, and it is a spiritual substance. Because the truth is defined as the real thing to describe, is a kind of knowledge, and all knowledge is the soul part of the dominant dominance (to hegemonikon) of the special status, just as the fist was considered to be the same as a special state of the hand. The dominant part is the intellect; it is tangible, and therefore the truth belongs to the entity. Second, constitute the (sustasis) difference. It is day and day that I am talking; truth is made up of knowledge, so it is compound, and it is a collection of many components. The difference between the two is that, as citizens are for the people, citizens are individuals, and the people are a group of many citizens. Third, the difference in potential (dunamis).
