The acidic products content in paper versus aging time, as w ell as the acidic products content in mineral oil and insulat ion paper versus the aging status of paper w as analyzed re spect ively. The results show that, the higher t he temperature, the sooner the sharp increase moment of oil acid value occurs. The acid value of oil increases dramatically when the degree of polymerization ( DP) of insulating paper de creases to a certain value. There is no quant itative relationship betw een oil acid value and the DP of insulat ing paper.
