Composed circa 1802, the poem was first published in?Poems, In Two Volumes?(1807)

风昼夜地吹
We should be able to appreciate beautiful events like the moon shining over the ocean and the blowing of strong winds, but its like were on a different wavelength from Nature. This relationship appears to be at the mercy of mankind because in Wordswarth’s eyes, the nature is so vulnerable )
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
时间静谧如沉睡的花朵
The phrase sleeping flowers might also describe how nature is being overrun unknowingly and is helpless.)
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
我们丧失如许,对这些,都无动于衷。
It moves us not. -- Great God!
The speaker complains that the world is too overwhelming for us to appreciate it. Were so concerned about time and money that we use up all our energy.
People want to accumulate stuff, so the
